Creative Crowd’s Autumn Kick-off: Team Building, Collaboration and a New Home at Brunnsteatern
A new season at Creative Crowd in Skellefteå means new projects, new team members, new ideas - and a new home at Brunnsteatern.
To kick off the autumn season, the Creative Crowd team spent two days together at a cabin outside the office. The autumn kick-off brought together our team members and new interns for a combination of team building activities, workshops, collaboration, cooking and time together in nature.
With our team growing and our move to Brunnsteatern underway, the kick-off was also an opportunity to get everyone aligned on the exciting next chapter for Creative Crowd.
Team building outside the office
Strong teams are built through more than meetings and project work. Creating opportunities for colleagues to spend time together in a different environment can strengthen communication, trust and collaboration.
During our two-day team kick-off, we stepped away from our everyday routines and took part in activities designed to encourage teamwork and connection.
One activity quickly became a surprising favourite: mushroom picking in the Swedish forest. 🍄
We divided into three groups and headed out into nature to see what we could find. What started as a casual activity quickly turned into some serious mushroom hunting!
By the end of the day, several team members had developed a new appreciation for Swedish mushrooms - and perhaps a slightly competitive attitude towards finding them. 😂
Teamwork in the kitchen
Our team building continued when it was time to prepare dinner.
The team was divided into three groups, with each group responsible for a different part of the meal:
🥗 Starter
🍝 Main course
🍰 Dessert
Planning, preparing and cooking together gave everyone another opportunity to collaborate outside their usual roles.
Just like in our everyday work at Creative Crowd, everyone brought different skills and ideas to the table. The result was a meal created together - and a lot of good conversations along the way.
Workshops, reflection and aligning for the future
The autumn kick-off was not only about team activities. We also held internal workshops and discussions to reflect on our work, share ideas and align on our goals for the coming season.
One of the important topics was our move to Brunnsteatern in Skellefteå.
Creative Crowd is expanding its presence at Brunnsteatern, where we are developing a new creative environment for our work in game development, immersive experiences, virtual production, motion capture and other creative technologies.
Moving into a new space is an exciting step for the company, but it also means new opportunities and new ways of working together. Taking time during our kick-off to discuss the move helped us make sure the whole team is part of that journey.
Building a stronger team at Creative Crowd
As Creative Crowd continues to grow, creating a strong company culture becomes increasingly important.
Team building activities give colleagues the opportunity to connect beyond their everyday responsibilities. They can help strengthen relationships, improve communication and create the trust needed for successful collaboration.
For a company working with games, creativity, technology and innovation, collaboration is at the heart of what we do. Great ideas often come from bringing different perspectives together, experimenting, sharing and learning from each other.
Our autumn kick-off was a chance to do exactly that.
We welcomed new people, shared ideas, cooked together, explored the forest, picked an impressive amount of mushrooms and prepared ourselves for an exciting new season.
And now we're ready for the next chapter.
New team. New ideas. New home at Brunnsteatern. Same Creative Crowd spirit. 🧡
Welcome to the team to all our new members and interns - we're excited to see what we'll create together!
