A New Chapter at Brunnsteatern: Building Skellefteå’s Creative Future
Creative Crowd is entering an exciting new chapter.
Our move to Brunnsteatern in Skellefteå is more than a change of address. It is a step towards creating a stronger home for games, film, Virtual Production, VFX, motion capture and creative technology in northern Sweden.
Our new home has already attracted attention, with Norran visiting Brunnsteatern to take a closer look at the new movie and immersive studio taking shape. For us, the story is about much more than a new studio. It is about what this development can mean for Skellefteå’s growing creative industry.
From theatre to a creative technology hub
Brunnsteatern has a long history as a place for culture and storytelling in Skellefteå. Now, we are excited to be part of its next chapter.
At Creative Crowd, we work at the intersection of games, technology, creativity and innovation. Moving into Brunnsteatern gives us the opportunity to bring even more of these worlds together — from game development and motion capture to Virtual Production, filmmaking, immersive experiences and VFX.
We believe spaces like this can play an important role in strengthening Skellefteå as a place where creative people can meet, collaborate, experiment and build new ideas.
And we don't want to build that future alone.
Supporting the creative industry in the north
One of the projects we are especially excited about is Aurora Reel Accelerator, a cross-border initiative connecting Sweden and Finland to strengthen the cultural and creative industries across the northern Nordic region.
Through the project, we are working with partners to make Virtual Production technology, training, mentorship and creative collaboration more accessible to emerging filmmakers, game developers, VFX artists and other creative professionals.
The ambition is simple: create more opportunities for creative talent in the north.
With shared Virtual Production infrastructure, Reel Jam workshops, training and international opportunities, Aurora Reel Accelerator is helping connect northern creators with technology and networks that can open new doors.
For Creative Crowd, this is a natural extension of what we want to achieve at Brunnsteatern.
Why this matters for Skellefteå
The creative industries are becoming an increasingly important part of the future of northern Sweden.
Film, games, digital media, immersive technology, VFX and Virtual Production are not only creative fields — they create opportunities for innovation, collaboration, entrepreneurship and new talent.

Together with projects such as Aurora Reel Accelerator, we want to contribute to a stronger and more connected creative ecosystem in Skellefteå, Västerbotten and the wider Aurora region.
The move is a big milestone for us.
