Creative Crowd at LavinMQ Code Summit 2026: Turning Technology into Real-World Solutions

How can technology help solve real-world challenges and improve everyday life? This was the question explored at LavinMQ Code Summit 2026, held at Sara Kulturhus in Skellefteå, Sweden, where developers, designers and students came together for a day of collaboration, experimentation and innovation.

Creative Crowd was pleased to take part in the event, organised by 84codes and LavinMQ. Over seven hours, participating teams worked on practical challenges, transforming ideas into potential solutions through programming, creative problem-solving and teamwork.

Three challenges, one shared goal: innovation

The summit featured three challenges that demonstrated how technology can be applied across different industries and areas of society.

1. Real-time sensor data for rural home care

In collaboration with Skellefteå Science City, participants explored how real-time sensor data could support home care services in rural areas. The challenge focused on how data-driven solutions could contribute to more efficient services and better support for people in their everyday lives.

2. AI Smart Service Desk

Together with Ductus, participants explored how artificial intelligence could improve service delivery and support. The challenge encouraged teams to consider how AI-powered solutions could make information and assistance more accessible and effective.

3. Message Broking in Action - with a skiing twist

LavinMQ presented a challenge focused on message broking, using a skiing-inspired theme to put messaging technology into practice. Participants explored how systems can exchange messages and data reliably, demonstrating the role of messaging infrastructure in modern software development.

Together, the challenges highlighted how software development, artificial intelligence, real-time data and messaging technologies can be used to address practical needs.

Creative Crowd joins the jury

Creative Crowd was also represented on the jury by Kristofer Stenskog, who contributed his experience and perspective when evaluating the teams' work.

Taking part in events like LavinMQ Code Summit creates opportunities to connect with the local technology community, exchange knowledge and see how different skills and approaches can lead to innovative ideas.

Technology with a purpose

At Creative Crowd, we are interested in more than technology for its own sake. We explore how digital solutions, interactive experiences, games and data can contribute to meaningful change - an approach closely connected to Games for Impact and Tech for Good.

Hackathons and innovation events provide a practical environment for testing ideas, bringing different perspectives together and exploring how technical expertise can respond to real societal and business challenges.

LavinMQ Code Summit 2026 was a great example of this in action. From rural home care and AI-powered services to messaging infrastructure, the challenges demonstrated the potential of combining technical knowledge with creativity and collaboration.

A big thank you to 84codes and LavinMQ for bringing the community together, and to everyone who participated and contributed their ideas.

Innovation happens when people come together to explore not only what technology can do, but what it can do for people.

Creative Crowd looks forward to continuing to support collaboration, experimentation and purposeful innovation in Skellefteå and across northern Sweden.
